THERE SHOULD BE NO HESITATION AFTER...": CONGRESS LEADER KARAN SINGH ON RAM TEMPLE EVENT



Senior Congress leader Karan Singh said on Friday that following the Supreme Court's Ayodhya decision, there should be no hesitation in attending the Ram temple's consecration ceremony on January 22. at the Ram temple on January 22.

In a statement, Singh stated that he has gotten a "beautiful invitation" to the "historic pran pratishtha ceremony," but would be unable to attend owing to medical considerations.


The ceremony "will be celebrated by about a billion Hindus around the globe," he stated.


"As a Raghuvanshi myself, and having made a modest personal donation of Rs 11 lakh to the construction, it would have been a pleasure to attend." Unfortunately, as I approach the age of 93, I shall be unable to do so due to medical reasons," the former Union minister said in a statement.


"However, our family Dharmarth Trust (J&K) is organising a special celebration on this occasion at our famous Sri Raghunath Temple in Jammu, and we are also doing so on a smaller scale at our Shri Ram Mandir on Lodhi Road," he went on to say.


The former governor of Jammu and Kashmir stated that following the Supreme Court decision, there should be no hesitation in attending the function if invited.



Leading Congressmen Mallikarjun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury "respectfully declined" an offer to attend the dedication of the Ram temple on Wednesday. The party claimed that the BJP and the RSS were using the event as a "political project" to win votes.

Over 6,000 guests, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, are anticipated at the event.

The Ram temple trust has invited 4,000 seers from across the country and 50 guests from foreign countries.

The BJP and the RSS and affiliate Hindutva organisations like the Vishva Hindu Parishad have launched a nationwide mass connect programme in the run-up to the ceremony, urging people to visit the holy place after the consecration ceremonyFifty foreign guests and four thousand seers from throughout the nation have been invited by the Ram temple trust.

In the lead-up to the event, the BJP, the RSS, and affiliated Hindutva groups like the Vishva Hindu Parishad have started a national mass connect campaign, encouraging people to visit the sacred site following the consecration ceremony.
